Phawu, a co-founder of MCA, is a seasoned finance and investment professional. He began his career at a Big 4 Audit Firm (in the Financial Services division) where he completed his articles and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) and also a Registered Auditor. He has subsequently held roles as; Asset Manager at a Residential Private Equity firm, Post Investment Manager at a developmental fund with a focus on SMME Debt and Equity funding, Private Equity and Banking Transactor with a focus on Affordable Housing. Phawu has had consistent focus on understanding and improving asset performance, managing financial and operational aspects of projects, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Sandile, a co-founder of MCA, is a seasoned finance professional with an extensive background in accounting and financial management. He began his career at a Big 4 Audit firm (in the Industrial, Automotive, and Pharmaceuticals division) where he completed his articles and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA). He joined a medical devices distribution company, as a Financial Reporting Planning Analyst, leading the finance team and providing strategic financial analysis. He then joined a listed vehicle retail and logistics company where he advanced from Financial Manager to various senior roles culminating in a role as a Finance Executive. In this capacity, he managed a property portfolio, directed financial reporting, internal controls and performance management. Sandile excels in optimizing commercial models and driving financial performance improvements.

Terrence holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in accounting and management accounting. Terrence has amassed significant corporate sector experience, overseeing comprehensive accounting functions for notable South African organizations in the legal, logistics and automotive industry where his responsibilities included critical financial oversight, ad-hoc analysis, asset management, and client relations. He excels in both independent and collaborative settings within multidisciplinary teams. 

Lamla holds a B.Tech in Internal Auditing. Lamla started her career off as a creditors clerk at an international security company. She subsequently moved on to various roles in national and international companies as an Accounts Payable clerk, Project Accountant and regional administrator. Sikhona has founded and co-owned businesses and brings first hand knowledge and experience of as a small business owner. Lamla is recognized for her attention to detail, strong analytical skills and effective project management.
